A Floral Summer Garden Party in Cincinnati Ohio

Marie and Cody’s wedding was everything you’d imagine when you hear “summer garden party.” From the moment I arrived, the vibe was effortlessly romantic, with thoughtful, personalized details at every turn.

Marie and her bridesmaids set the tone perfectly, each wearing mismatched dresses in shades of floral blues that felt cohesive yet unique to each person’s style. Marie’s gown was absolute perfection with floral appliqué details that were a nod to the garden-inspired theme. It was like the dress was made just for her. One of the most special touches was Marie’s collection of vintage china. She sourced pieces for the place settings, creating a table setup that felt elegant, intimate, and full of charm. They perfectly complemented the blue and white florals.

When we talked about their wedding photography priorities, they told me their one “must-have” was photos at the giant hydrangea bushes that bloom every summer at their venue. I could tell from the way they lit up when they mentioned it that this location was going to be special. As soon as we got there, it was magic. The lush, white blooms surrounded them, creating the most romantic backdrop for their portraits.

The rest of the day flowed so naturally, from heartfelt vows during the ceremony to a lively cocktail hour where guests mingled in the garden. The reception was full of laughter, heartfelt toasts, and just enough happy tears to make the evening unforgettable. As the sun set, we snuck out for golden hour photos under the most perfect cotton candy skies. Those quiet moments were the perfect way to soak in the day before heading back to the celebration.

Marie and Cody’s wedding day was more than just beautiful — it was intentional, personal, and full of love. From the smallest details like vintage china to the big, joyful moments with their family and friends, it truly felt like a reflection of who they are as a couple.
